Where I Shop for Books!

In case you didn’t know, I live in Canada! I usually shop and buy books from Chapters or Coles, and if I’m in a major city, than Indigo (Indigo owns Chapters and Coles if I am not mistaken). These stores are the Canadian Barnes and Nobles (I think this is an accurate comparison!). I also sometimes buy books online, if I can’t find the ones I want in store. I’ll usually go to the online bookstore for Chapters first, to see if what I want is there. If not (although it usually is) I’ll use the online book stores, the Book Depository (because free shipping!), and the Book Outlet (because super cheap books!).

I’m also trying to find used book stores to buy books from (and even sell unwanted books too as well) in the city that I live in right now. Although I have yet to go exploring to track some of these stores down.

And this is pretty much all the places where I buy books from! So, now you know in case you were wondering 😁.

Where do you buy books from?

REVIEW: Nimona by Noelle Stevenson

Synopsis (from my paperback cover)-

Nimona is an impulsive young shapeshifter with a knack for villainy. Lord Ballister Blackheart is a villain with a vendetta. As sidekick and supervillain, Nimona and Lord Blackheart are about to wreak some serious havoc. Their mission: prove to the kingdom that Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin and his buddies at the Institution of Law Enforcement and Heroics aren’t the heroes everyone thinks they are.

Nemeses! Dragons! Science! Symbolism! All these and more await in this brilliantly subversive, sharply irreverent epic from Noelle Stevenson, based on her award-winning web comic.

REVIEW: Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Synopsis (from my hardback cover)-

This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do today. This afternoon, her planet was invaded.

The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations- _______ and _______- are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, exes Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.

Currently Reading (November 1- 14, 2015)

Over the next couple of weeks I am planning on researching for both my English and History research papers (which requires a lot of reading). I will be buckling down and doing most of my research for both my History and English research papers during reading week, which is next week (November 11- 15), as well as continuing Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I am also hoping to be able to start the audiobook Carry On by Rainbow Rowell!

What will you be reading over the next couple of weeks?
