March 2017 TBR

This month I want to read six books! Five of them are to be read for a couple of my classes and one is to read for fun.

I have to read King Lear and Macbeth for my Shakespeare class. For my YA Literature class I have to read Half World by Hiromi Goto, No Safe Place by Deborah Ellis, and The Nest by Kenneth Oppel.

I also want to finish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I am very determined to finish reading this book, even though this month is going to be very busy for me.

What books do you want to read this month?

What Have I Been Up To?

Reading:

The last two weeks I’ve read three books, started two, and read four short stories. I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling, The Hill by Karen Bass, Titus Andronicus by William Shakespeare, The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe, Beyond the Bayou by Kate Chopin, An Encounter by James Joyce, and Before the Law by Franz Kafka. You will read more about my thoughts on those stories in my monthly wrap-up!

I started reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. Rowling as well as The Lesser Blessed by Richard Van Camp for one of my classes. I am also going to be starting another Shakespearian play soon, but I am not sure which one my professor wants us to read next yet.

2017 Reading Goals

This year I want to read fifty-two books (two more books than what I read last year)!

I also want to finish several series I have started reading in recent years so I can start reading some new series. The series I need to finish are (only considering the books I own, not the ones that are released as part of the series but that I don’t own):

  • Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (three more books to go)
  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan (four more books to go)
  • The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo (two more books to go)
  • Dorothy Must Die series by Danielle Paige (two more books to go)
  • To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han (one more books to go)

November 2016 TBR

This month I need to read these books for school:

  1. The Railway Children by E. Nesbit
  2. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
  3. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
  4. Coraline by Neil Gaiman
  5. The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman (this one I probably won’t read because I’ve already read it and don’t want to read it again. It’s a great book, I just don’t want to waste my time right now rereading a book I’ve already read once through.)

October 2016 Book Haul

I bought exactly one book this month! That being Gemina (The Illuminae Files, #2) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I’m so excited to read this one after I read Empire of Storms. I might even read it first because I think I’ll be able to read it quicker than Empire of Storms. Plus, Illuminae was one of my favourite books of 2015, so I can’t wait to get into Gemina!

What books did you buy this month?

Popular Books I Haven’t Read Yet

I’ve decided to make a quick list (me? Making a list? No way!) of all the popular books I have yet to read and that I own:

  • Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1) by Leigh Bardugo
  • Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, #5) by Sarah J. Maas
  • This Savage Song (Monsters of Verity, #1) by Victoria Schwab
  • Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #2) by Stephanie Perkins
  • Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #3) by Stephanie Perkins
  • P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, #2) by Jenny Han
  • Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2) by Leigh Bardugo
  •  Ruin and Rising (The Grisha, #2) by Leigh Bardugo
  • The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Blue Lily, Lily, Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
  • The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner

October 2016 TBR

This month I have to read four books for a couple of my classes (doing this also allows me to get ahead in one of my english classes). I would also like to read one book of my choosing for fun, but we shall see how the month goes. As you probably already know I’m terrible at sticking to my monthly TBR’s so, here’s my tentative October one:

  • The Complete Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde by Oscar Wilde (which I’ve actually already read!)
  • The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
  • The Railway Children by E. Nesbit

Birthday Book Haul!! (January 2016)

This month, being my birthday month (I turned 19 on the 18th, and I realized that this is the last year of my being a teenager😱), I splurged a bit on books (I got some gift cards for Christmas, so naturally I spent most of them on books!). But first I bought one book last month that never made it into my book haul because I wrote it before I bought the book. That book was *drum roll* Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon! I am very excited to get to this one, hopefully sometime this summer.

Now, this month I bought nine books (I know, yikes 😅)! They were:
