My (lame) attempt at giving a synopsis of the book:
The Hill by Karen Bass centres around two boys, Jared and Kyle. Jared is a spoiled rich kid who was taking his father’s jet to go and visit him in Yellowknife for the summer. As they were flying, the plane crashes and a teenager named Kyle finds him a few hours later. Jared ends up in the middle of nowhere in a forest. Kyle is there with skills to survive in the forest and is willing to help him. When Jared is determined to climb up the biggest hill in the forest to get cell phone reception, Kyle warns him not too but follows him when Jared refuses to listen. As the boys climb the hill and come back down, they may or may not have woken up a monster from a Cree legend.
